Several estimation methods have been proposed for identifying dynamic errors-in-variables rational models. This paper presents new consistent methods for order and coefficient estimation of continuous-time systems by errors-in-variables fractional models. First, differentiation orders are assumed to be known and only differential equation coefficients are estimated. Two estimators based on Higher-Order Statistics (third-order cumulants) are developed: the fractional third-order based least squares algorithm (ftocls) and the fractional third-order based iterative least squares algorithm (ftocils). Then, they are extended, using a nonlinear optimization algorithm, to estimate both the differential equation coefficients and the commensurate order. The performances of the proposed algorithms are illustrated with a numerical example. |

Résumé | Liens | BibTeX | Étiquettes: @conference{Saoudi201352, The present paper investigates a bond graph tool to design full-order proportional-integral (PI) observers for a robust fault detection purpose. The proposed method allows the calculation of the gain matrix graphically through covering causal paths and loops based on the pole placement techniques for linear systems. The robust residuals are further generated from an uncertain bond graph model in linear fractional transformation (LFT) form so as to detect actuator faults in presence of parameter uncertainties. Simulation tests on a hydraulic system show the dynamic behavior of system variables and the robustness of the PI observers in the presence of modeling errors. The effectiveness of the proposed robust fault detection estimator is later illustrated via a DC motor. |

Due to the structural and causal properties of a bond graph tool, a residual generation is based on analytical redundancy relations (ARRs) witch are obtained from the system behavior through different procedures in order to eliminate unknown variables (covering causal paths). Thus, the qualitative approach (temporal causal graph) is invoved to isolate faults by using the progressive monitoring for the refinement of the various fault hypotheses. In this paper, we define a faulttolerant and QoS based network layer for security management of chemical products warehouse which can be classified as real-time and mission critical application. This application generate routine data packets and alert packets caused by unusual events which need a high reliability, short end to end delay and low packet loss rate constraints. After each node compute his hop count and build his neighbors table in the initialization phase, packets can be routed to the sink. We use FELGossiping protocol for routine data packets and node-disjoint multipath routing protocol for alert packets. Furthermore, we utilize the information gathering phase of FELGossiping to update the neighbors table and detect the failed nodes, and we adapt the network topology changes by rerun the initialization phase when chemical units were added or removed from the warehouse. Analysis shows that the network layer is energy efficient and can meet the QoS constraints of unusual events packets. |

Résumé | Liens | BibTeX | Étiquettes: @article{Hamidi2012452, The paper deals with the problems of robust stability for uncertain nonlinear polynomial systems. We consider the problem of the enlargement of the Robust Domain of Attraction (RDA). We propose a method to compute invariant subsets of the RDA for the asymptotically stable equilibrium point of polynomial systems. We use an optimization strategy based on Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI), to compute the RDA. The main contribution consists in a preliminary estimation of the general form of this region obtained by Trajectory Reversed Method (TRM) for all uncertain parameters. Moreover, an explicit determination of the RDA by using a parameterized Lyapunov Function is proposed. Such result is obtained by combined Threshold Accepting Algorithms (TAA) and LMI. An example is given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed approach. © 2012 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. – All rights reserved. |
